The Florida Model United Nations is pleased to hold its sixth annual Model United Nations Conference held September 28-29, 2012 at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL.
Welcome from your 2012 Secretary General Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and Potential Participants,
I am honored to welcome you to the 6th annual Florida Model United Nations conference. In October of this year collegiate delegates from across the state will gather to discuss a wide range of international issues. With each year the level of professionalism and skill in diplomacy we see among the delegates rises and this year will be no different. Whether this is your first experience with MUN or you have attended any number of other conferences FMUN will not disappoint. Each delegate has been to their first conference at some point, so as always we ask that veterans of the MUN circuit offer a helping hand and set an example for newcomers. Delegates will engage in discussions that will facilitate learning, skill, and an in depth understanding of international relations. We at FMUN pride ourselves not only on the level of education, but also the professional environment the conference provides. Our experienced and professional staff will consist of former delegates that have attended a variety of conferences and have an immense background in political science as well as MUN. It is my goal to ensure that each delegate takes away from this conference a sense of the professional environment the United Nations works within as well as an appreciation of the multi-faceted nature that characterizes global issues. Leading up to the conference I will be working diligently to ensure that FMUN VII is a quality conference that exceeds expectations on all fronts. Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and others can always contact me with questions and concerns regarding this year’s conference and expect assistance promptly. Sincerely, Daniel Lilly Secretary General FMUN VII Sg@fmun.org 850-363-1238 |
